Clean Water & Community Outreach Specialist
Are you passionate about protecting clean water and building stronger, more resilient communities? The Adirondack Council is hiring a Clean Water & Community Outreach Specialist (CWCOS) to help lead and support local and state-level efforts to safeguard the waters of the western Adirondacks.
As part of our dedicated conservation team, the CWCOS will build relationships with communities, advance clean water infrastructure projects, help shape policy, and empower local action—ensuring clean, healthy waterways across one of New York’s most ecologically important regions.
Once trained, the CWCOS will provide guidance to local officials and partners on septic system upgrades, infrastructure development, lake monitoring, road salt reduction, invasive species management, and other non-point pollution controls. Collaboration with lake associations, conservation groups, and municipal leaders will be led by this position and will help advance sustainable water quality solutions across the Park and in the state’s capital.
