Forever Adirondacks Lobby Day

What will the day be like?

The day will begin with a morning program, where we will have coffee and light refreshments and talk to you about priorities we are asking the legislature to advance this year.

After the morning program, we will break into small teams of advocates, with each team led by someone with experience at the Capitol. You will get some training from your team leader before we begin the day.

From there we will attend four to six, 30-minute meetings with a scheduled break during the day. The meetings will take place with a legislator or their staff in an intimate setting: it’s just a conversation between a couple of people.

You will be introduced by the group leader, who will speak about the priorities you are advocating for. If you would like to share your support for a specific aspect of the legislative agenda, or just speak about your love of the Adirondacks, you will have a minute or two to do so at each meeting. Your presence and support will make a great difference in the outcome of the 2023 legislative session, and you will have contributed to our Adirondack legacy for current and future generations.
