Conservation Intern Wanted
The Adirondack Council is seeking Clarence Petty Conservation Intern in Elizabethtown Office.
The Clarence Petty Conservation Intern will assist the Conservation Department with policy research and writing, advocacy efforts, and education and outreach activities. Interns will represent the Council at public hearings and meetings, assist with review of state lands management practices, engage on natural resource issues with partnering organizations, and assist on related fundraising and membership projects. Whenever possible, the Internship will be tailored to match individual interests and backgrounds to help interns achieving her/his future professional goals. At the end of the internship, the intern will leave with a strong understanding of the conservation policies and politics that govern the Adirondack Park and how an environmental organization effectively carries out its mission.
