The state Senate and Assembly have passed the Wildlife Crossing Act, which is great news for wildlife and people in the Empire State. The bill directs the Department of Transportation to identify good places for wildlife crossings and we will continue advocating until Gov. Kathy Hochul signs it into law.

The Essex Farm Institute, a program of the Adirondack Council, is celebrating Earth Week by announcing the ninth annual farm grants to Adirondack farmers and businesses. In 2024, the grants will help bees, pay for dam removal, increase composting, and reduce fossil fuel use among the 16 grant recipients.
