The Adirondack
Forest Preserve is the land owned by the State of New York in the
Adirondack Park. It is managed by the Department of Environmental
Conservation and protected by the
"Forever WIld" Clause of the New York State Constitution. But
that doesn't mean that there aren't issues that affect the Forest
Preserve.
Below are just
some of the issues that the Council is working on to ensure the
ecological integrity of the publicly owned lands in the Adirondack
Park.
