The Big Belly® Loon Bank The Big Belly® Loon Bank, designed exclusively for the Adirondack Council, is a perfect bank for children, giving them a unique way to save their money. The patented serpentine coin track design allows them to watch their pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters travel down the bank into a big plastic storage "belly." The money is easily removed by unscrewing the belly bolt. An Adirondack gift that makes learning to save fun while protecting the Adirondack Park! Product Information: John Chestnut, Big Belly® Bank's inventor is a resident of Elizabethtown, NY. He designed the Loon Big Belly® Bank exclusively for the Adirondack Council. Chestnut Creations was founded in 1987 when John began selling hand-crafted name puzzles at craft shows. In 1992, he first designed his patented serpentine coin track, and used this track, along with its trademark clear globe "Big Belly" to produce a line of caricature banks which are sold throughout the world. Besides the United States, John has a patent on the Big Belly® Banks in Canada and Europe. ![]() |
