Coins can be easily removed from the 5" plastic belly by unscrewing the belly bolt.

John Chestnut, Big Belly® Bank's inventor is a resident of Elizabethtown, NY. He designed the Loon Big Belly® Bank exclusively for the Adirondack Council. Chestnut Creations was founded in 1987 when John began selling hand-crafted name puzzles at craft shows. In 1992, he first designed his patented serpentine coin track, and used this track, along with its trademark clear globe "Big Belly" to produce a line of caricature banks which are sold throughout the world. Besides the United States, John has a patent on the Big Belly® Banks in Canada and Europe.
